OUR STORY
2010
Founding of Absolem
Bruno Dejaeghere and his then-partner Ank De Wilde founded Absolem when they were given the opportunity to take over the operations of De Valck Consultants, where Bruno was employed at the time.
Together with 28 engineering consultants, they began building the fledgling Absolem story right from their kitchen table. It wasn’t long, however, before they hired their first administrative assistant and made Mechelen their home base.
2016
Opening of the Engineering Center
Absolem Engineering (formerly ProLab) was founded on May 2, 2016, as a relaunch of the process development and industrial mechanization group of Philips Lighting at the Turnhout site.
Three former Philips employees joined forces to continue building on the independence of the laser lab and expanding the mechanical engineering expertise under the Absolem banner.
2025
15 years of Absolem
In recent years, both business areas have experienced tremendous growth, and the company has also expanded into the American market. With approximately 35 consultants and some 30 engineers at its Engineering Center, Absolem has built up a wealth of expertise and talent over the past 15 years.
In addition to its in-depth knowledge and mastery of laser technology, X-ray technology is also becoming second nature to the team.

Absolem remains committed to pushing boundaries. As projects and assignments become increasingly complex, high-tech, and international, Absolem continues to actively collaborate with its clients, provide growth opportunities for employees, and build long-term relationships with our employees, clients, and the community.

That the name Absolem was inspired by the character of the same name from Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland? Absolem, the blue caterpillar, lets Alice explore to her heart’s content, but advises and guides her through her adventures whenever she needs it.
